VoIP Project Progress

Ministry of Labour

The Main offices of Labour in the Central/Western/Northern were connected during the VoIP pilot phase. Currently working on connecting other Labour offices located in Savusavu, Sigatoka,Ba and other sites.

Public Service Commision (PSC)

Providing connectivity for VoIP PSC HQ and other remote offices for PSC. This will improve overhead expenses on PABX rentals, calls unit charges, less telephony expense and enhanced infrastructure could handle numerous calls at a particular time.

Foreign Affairs

Ministry of Foreign Affairs has initiated to proceed with the VoIP connectivity to Foreign Embassies which are located in the Europe and Asian continents. The project milestones will authenticate a greater cost reduction factor when calls are made overseas as it will be treated as local telephone calls. Hence, other enhanced features will be enabled to provide additional functionalities.
