About Us

PC Team is the department charged with the configuration, support, repair and maintenance of all computers connected to the government network. With the number of computers being connected to the Govnet domain growing by the day, our team is constantly on the move; troubleshooting, diagnosing and restoring systems to its optimum capability.
As with all organizations within ITC, we are constantly striving to deliver the best service that we can provide to an organization that requires it at a quick rate while ensuring that quality of service is not compromised

The People

Overseen by 4 staff and an assortment of attaches’, the PC Team is a tight knit group of individuals dedicated to ensuring that optimal service is provided to individuals, organizations, departments and ministries within the government framework. Led by Senior Analyst Mr. Joeli Laqeta and ably assisted by Mr. Jack Sade, Sarote Waisele and Iliapi Ralago, the team is constantly attempting to provide better, faster, cost efficient and less intrusive methods to provide solutions for our customers.

Our Coverage Area

Though we are based within the ITC office structure, our work, more often than not, is carried out around the various ministerial departments within the greater Suva City area. This often necessitates the covering of a vast amount of area and dealing with an assortment of problems that regularly arise within the government’s computer network. Since inclusion with the E-Community project however, our coverage area has expanded to virtually the whole of Fiji; which sometime calls for travelling to outer island and rural areas.

Our Projects

Merged with the E-Community project, our responsibilities have expanded to encompass the implementation of a variety of developments designed to bring the IT infrastructure and services to the outer islands and to rural and remote areas. Since then, we have carried out work in a variety of areas within the country. The completed and successful installation of these developments have been carried out in

Current Projects

Currently there is a project underway in Sawani that is in its early stages and hopefully should be up and running by the end of February.

Other PC Team Projects for 2010

We are currently in the process of initializing our pet project for the 1st quarter of 2010 which is the LOVE PC venture. Working with aid from the Korean government, this project entails the assembling of acquired computer parts from a local vendor to build brand new PCs for our E-Community Project. Our current target is to assemble 15 PCs that will be distributed to various rural schools to aid in developing computer skills and educational assistance.
