ITC Teams Up Towards ICT Rural Development

In line with the Integrated Rural Development Framework, ITC Services aims to work with the Divisional Commissioners on a “WAY FORWARD” for the divisions in terms of ICT Services.

On a trip to the north last week, Manager ITC Services, Mr. Eliki Salusalu accompanied by ITC Services – Assistant Manager Client Services (AMCS), Mr. Apisalome Tamani met with Commissioner Northern Lieutenant Colonel Inia Seruiratu to discuss the opportunities that ITC Services can provide to assist our customers in the north.  ITC, being the IT arm of government will embark on assisting these centres in providing technical support and looking at ways of Bridging the Digital Divide through the engagement with other relevant stakeholders.

ITC Services aims to also work with the Divisional heads to further maximise on the current initiatives, like the e-Community Centres available to the various communities around country.
These centres are stationed at various government schools and some communities around the country both in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu even including some of the outer Islands.

These centres have been implemented to allow for citizens living near by the centres to have access to government information online and assist students for educational purposes.

ITC Services is now working to aligning their ICT Service development plans to the Divisional Commissioners Development Plans to be able to better assist our customers around the region.
