APPLICATION SUPPORT & DATABASE ADMINISTRATION
The Database Administration Team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of all the databases required for the database applications at ITC Services, covering all areas of Database Administration (DBA) work.
The team’s main accountability would range from installation of database software, creation and configuration of the various databases for testing and implementation, maintaining the various database instances, tuning the databases as required, establishing a database backup and recovery process, to research and tests of new database technology and products.
This however does not define the team’s responsibilities as we also engage in other non-database related work in assisting the Systems Development team in supporting our online applications, troubleshooting issues, project managing departmental solutions and various other on-the-go issues that ITC Services may face.
The team is also able to provide our services to other Government bodies regarding their database requirements, so do not hesitate to contact us for consulation.
The 2008 DBA Team members are Mahlon Isimeli, Asheel K. Singh, Lawrence Chandra and Asaeli Cati.
